BODY LAPSES

Body lapses in the turning motion of the camera and eye returning to a point of reference. The moment of shutter click and BAM! the moment captured; story unfolding simultaneously as time propels forward a narrative of bodies in space.

Father time loads a pipe full of tobacco and puffs the figures as his breath turns the fleeting moment. A captured silhouette like smoke in the fragmented timelessness of space. Encapsulated, frozen. Taken away from the ephemeral nature of short-lived lividity.

A series belonging to the nature of the body in motion. Contorted and distorting the essence of the previous phase. A moon in cycle without sync or flow but in transcendent spirit.

How do our eyes travel whilst moving over a body? Can we see the whole body all at once? or are we only capable of sensing the motions across imaginary landscapes we dream of?

Take my hand, press it firmly against your heart and close your eyes while you dance through the liberty, firm ground underneath your feet and eggshell sky above.

A wall is but a portal into the backdrop of vastness in grandeur.
